Your Taree Construction & Earthmoving Crew

Looking to construct a new home or agricultural building and need your ground prepared? Experiencing a prolonged dry spell and need to top up your water storage tank before you run out? At BB & F Construction, our team look after customers’ earthmoving and water management needs. We’ve designed, constructed and maintained rural infrastructure throughout Taree for more than 40 years—from Victoria Street to Kolodong.

Based in Hargreaves Drive, we’re a family owned and operated business, founded by Bill and his two sons – Kerry and Leon – way back in 1980. Our principals are built on ensuring each and every project is cost-effective and completed to a high standard, using our local knowledge and experience.

Over the years, we’ve grown from specialising in roads and driveways to providing a full-service for the construction and maintenance of subdivisions and car parks – including earthmoving. We also provide water management solutions for drainage and sewer, rural dams; and the top-up of tanks, pools and spas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can I subdivide my land in Taree?

This will be up to your local council to decide. When dividing your land into separate plots, they’ll require a Development Application (DA) to be submitted. You’ll also need to provide a land survey, layout proposal and other associated documents. Before doing this, it’s important to understand what’s involved in subdividing land and we’d suggest you seek out rough costings to ensure financial viability before giving yourself a bureaucratic headache. Take into consideration the application fees and preparation costs, price of construction, infrastructure contributions and plan sealing charges. For help with costing up your subdivision, contact us at BB & F Construction.

  • How do I know how full my rainwater tank is in Taree?

The quickest and easiest way to determine the level of your water tank is through a wireless tank gauge. If you don’t already have one, they can be bought quite cheaply from retailers such as Bunnings. They seal directly to your tank and rely on a float system to drive the gauge level. There are also more expensive, high-tech versions available that can feed directly to a mobile app, if that’s your thing! If neither of these options are available to you, you can quickly check by doing a ‘tap test’; it’s as easy as it sounds. From the base of the tank, work your way upwards, tapping on the wall until you hear a hollow sound. That’s roughly where the level of your water will be. If every tap sounds hollow, then you’re in trouble! That’s when it’s time to call us at BB & F Construction to organise water cartage.
